Would anyone be interested in tying up some of those new "No Worries Wee Gray May" patterns by Mr. Birdsong in the FOTW for this week? They look pretty basic and pretty cool! We could all do them in...
Life lists are totally awesome. Mine is rather involved with lots of categories.

-Conventional
-Fly Fishing
-Ice Fishing
Saltwater
I fair-hooked my first carp this year, and...
Thanks for the links, I've been compiling plenty but these are some new ones.
Wonderful slideshow, and some of those pictures are just brilliant, especially those big browns.
I'll put it on my list of places to visit in the upcoming seasons!
Thanks!
Is anyone here a regular angler of the creeks and streams that drain into Lake Superior from the North Shore of the arrowhead region of MN? I am planning for a trip there next spring and am looking...
Gift Of The Gar -- Tangling With Tough Longnose
This article from the March 2007 issue of In-Fisherman should be of some help to you. It's not available online, but your local library should...
Cap off the change of packaging with a meal completely made out of Oreos! Apparently now, Dominoes has an "Oreo Pizza"
Next month's headline: Traditional pizza sales fall 30% due to Oreo pizza...
Redundant praise usually means a job well done. :)
I'll check the sound off board from now on to comment on stories.
Thanks to Len Harris for sharing the story of Jim Stevenson. A reminder that we should live every day!
In an era where everything is complex, it's nice to see a simple pattern highlighted. As a fly tying/fishing newb, it is also nice to know that one doesn't need the most ornate patterns to catch...
Work around docks for both bluegill and bass, nearly any time of day. Docks provide permanent cover and shade all summer long. They make great ambush spots for bass too!
Bass aren't the only good bluegill control out there! Get some muskies in your water and they'll thin the ranks of all the smaller gamefish. It's tough to come by any small pike like we used to...
you can read most of mine on my site.
Signature line links there.
I'd C&P, but its a Monday, and almost done with coffee break! LOL.
I like tying beetles. It seems it doesn't matter what size or color they are, the bluegills at the cabin LOOOVE crushing them.
Anyone have some good patterns? I like the foam and the...
Wayne -
Did you take any pics of the bite area, I mean Day-to-day?
I once saw a bite from a brown recluse spider, where the man took pics of his hand from day-to-day, and to say the least IT...
About 6" - caught off my dock at the lake on a Mickey Finn I tied myself! :)
Standard foam beetles and hi-viz beetles are good. I suppose they aren't traditional dry flies, but lemme tell ya, they never sink and can take a few hundred freshwater piranha attacks before...
I'll trade you a pike trip in ND for a trout trip in MT!!!
Devils Lake, next April? More pike than you can wave an 8-wt at!
"Decent?" Five acres seems kinda small to me. Based on that, I would guess that it was a Cat too, my first thought was big pike, notorious for headshakes and runs, and they'll take cranks more...
Anyone got a list of flies they use on white bass (aka Silvers, aka Sandbass)?
I absolutely have been nailing them on #4 Clousers, mostly chart/white or orange/white. I went 10-for-10 while...
Congrats! "Upstream" here on the Sheyenne, we don't see the drum that the anglers get in the Red around Fargo and Grand Forks, but i hear they're a riot, especially on the fly rod.
See Perch...now you have a place to take the wife while you go fishing! :)
WHAT?!? Isn't that the greatest 1% of the fishing experience? The braggin' board? I'm about as modest as they come (I know, don't bother pointing out the irony of me bragging about my modesty) but...
Anyone ever mount or replicate a catch from a flyrodding adventure? Got pics? Stories?
I just saw a three-rainbow mount by an ND taxidermist and it blew me away. What great color.
I...
