My modification of a "Wired Stone" (http://www.frontrangeanglers.com/newsletter/oct05/wiredstone.htm). I use it for steelhead.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a line to match up up with this rod? I too am thinking of a 3wt but am unsure which line to buy. I probably won't have the chance to test cast lines.

Re: Taking the Camera on the Water?

 If you have shoe dryer rack for your clothes dryer, try a couple hours on low heat. Works wonders too!

I saw that episode too. That guy was an idiot. When he started manhandling that fish, I thought for sure he was gonna keep it.

Most shows do a pretty good job though.

I second Betty's suggestion. Start with little, you can always add more. The thinner the dubbed thread, the easier it is to achieve a tapered body.

I have a TiCr-X in an 8wt. It's a great rod. Like a cannon! The fit and finish are as nice (or nicer) as any of my "upper end" rods.

I mostly fish nymphs. Maybe 75 percent of the time. The reason being is that I like to catch more fish. I guess I am a "numbers" guy.

That said, I'd rather fish dries. Much more exciting.
