I have used AVG, Zone Alarm, Mcafee, and Norton. I am now using a trial version of Micro Trend. It doesn't use the resources of my computer, like the others did. Hence, no slow down in computer...
I have to chime in on the Griffin Mongoose. It has served me well

What I do is stop the backcast when I feel the line starting to load in the guides, especially the last guide just up from the reel. I can hear this as well as feel it with my hand that is holding...
Yep, it helped. Thanks.
I have got some time in Charlotte, NC tomorrow. I have found a Bass Pro Shop, but are there any other shops that have fly tying supplies there. Thanks in advance.

I did a look-see in "fly tying tips" and now have a handle on the half hitch so the material doesn't loosen up. I am keeping the cradle loose, so that, it swings to the side, and I do rest the...
Alrighty then. I think I'll just loosen that "puppy" up and swing it off to the side for the time being. Thanks for the input.
So, the cradle is a non-player unless I am going to the rotory function? I have a Griffin Montana Mongoose. I just swung it out of the way, and let the bobbin rest on the desk so that it wouldn't...
Being new at this fly tying, I was wondering how you use/work with the bobbin cradle. It gets in my way. Can't find anything about. Any help would be appreciated.
Got my Sage Fli 5wt Monday. Went out and played with it yesterday. I'm in heaven. I know it wasn't the most expensive, but what a difference. Why did I wait so long. Good fishing folks, I'll see...
Yep, I thought real about the 4 weight real hard, but figured the 6 wt would be OK for all around use. Let's see that'll be 2 each 6 wt and 1 each 9 wt. Maybe I can talk Santa into the 4 wt.
It's a done deal. Ordered. Pitched a tent in the front yard in waiting for Mr. UPs man. Now if I just can figure out this hobby of fly tying I will feel lucky.
Thanks for the info. I have always wanted a Sage rod, and the price is very inticing.
Has anyone had the chance to use one of these? I am seriously considering getting the combo deal that LL Bean is offering in 6wt.
OK, I been calling Peregrine, but no answer, and no luck with email either. Are they on vacation?
Has anyone used the Peregrine Fly tying boxes/workstations? I saw them in a recent issue of Fly Tying Journal. I travel alot, and it seemed to me that would be the way to pack my stuff along with...
Has anyone used the Peregrine fly tying box as a means of hauling your stuff around in?
