    nice use of material

I get some of that at every blood draw but my effort to use it as a dry fly body flopped. I may have to give it another look.

    cancer treatments

I meet a lot of people who are undergoing them at a center where I go regularly for blood tests. The physical and mental toll can be devastating. For the most part, the ones who seem to be coping...

    happy belated birthday!

You must have had to look really hard to find a car older than you are just so you'd look younger!

    White river near Hesperia Mi.

Opening day? I'll bring the beer as long as we don't get too many takers.

I read the book and recommend it to fly tyers and bookworms.

    I can't get a link to work

but if you google fly anglers on line and go to the menu on the left side of the page to fotw that gets you to the fly of the week. Pick 2009 and go down the list to FEB hopper from August 10th.

    Battered flies

I think that with many flies they are overdressed to begin with and a little damage helps make them more buggy. Except for flies I plan on fishing in rougher water like a humpy I try to keep my dry...

    orange, black,grey or white

I've used all four for parachute posts. they all work. I think that the wing is more critical in emergers and somewhat in comparaduns because those wings touch the water where their color can be...

    Does it matter

I'm talking about wings on dry flies. We have hackle tips, duck feathers, deer hair divided, comparaduns, wally wings, wonder wings, poly yarn, calf hair and parachute posts in natural and odd...

    also looks very versatile

I think that would fish well with either a fly rod or a light spinning outfit in areas to crowded for fly casting.

    pink flies

Mostly just a bump, but I did send casting for recovery some flies including 14 pink Los Alamos ants and 14 pink bluegill spiders made from the foam trimmings. It just seemed appropriate.

    Happy Birthday Mike

That many candles probably explains all the smoke in the air coming from the south. I shouldn't have blamed it on my neighbors burning leaves.

    prices are up 400%

The site in that link is charging the same $7 for twenty-five hooks that they used to get for one-hundred hooks. At that price, why not get name brand hooks?

That should cause the popper to make a bigger "splat" when hitting the water to attract the fishes attention.
