You're right, Byron. Absorbing water is its only drawback. I prefer snowshoe rabbit myself.

My preference is for double-foot guides, but it matters little, single or double.
If I'm going to replace one guide I'd replace them all. You may as well do it all on the first go.
I always use...
Very nice. I bet that would be serve as a good March Brown emerger, Hans.

I tie my olives with yarn. I tie on a shuck (brown or olive) make a thread body and then tie in the yarn wing. Has worked great for me this year so far.
Nice, Hans. Have you fished this pattern yet?
Neat rods and thread colors. Really, really nice. Where do you buy Quickline blanks. I don't build a lot of rods, and I've never heard of them.
Fantastic pair of fish, Dave.
I like the 102Y Tiemco, too.
Hans, Is that the same piece of Zelon used for the tail and wing?
Thanks. That's an excellent video.
Already planning a trip for next year possibly to the New River Gorge in West Virginia. Anyone know anything of the fishing opportunities in the area? I've read it's a smallmouth bass river. Is there...
You mean nobody knows anything about these rods?
Has anyone built on one of these and what is your opinion? I have an old Imperial that I love, but I don't really care for 8-Foot rods.
Thanks
Is that the guy who originated the muddler? What is his last name?
Is there a difference between Brooks Sprout Emerger and a regular parachute fly?
I'd guess about 90 since I think I might be able to do 30 in and hour.
What's the recipe and why does he call it a "Mouse" caddis? It looks like a low floater.
I never had any luck with the La Fontaine caddis flies. Even at the height of a Grannom hatch I was killing them on a wet fly. I put on a La Fontaine emerger and I had just a couple takes in a about...
Great. Ian Collin James--I watched his fly fishing show. I really liked him and the show.
This link explains someof the history at PSU.

Make sure you click on the old pictures of George Harvey and his tying classes from way back....
Any opinions on these blanks. i was going to get one for smallmouth bass fishing.
That's great. The first one in the country was taught by George Harvey of Pennsylvania about 60 years ago at Penn State University in State College, PA.
Hans, Looks like a great March Brown Pattern or general attractor. Really nice tie.

I'll take it if the sale doesn't go through.
