Sage advice since I hang my waders to air dry overnight and into the next day in the carport. Of course, the critters would have to get over the funk first
Blood knot is pretty strong when tying section of like material and diameter.
I catch "accidental" cats on bugger variants too... looks like you stumbled across some dandies!
I don't think I would ever wish to trade my Action optics, but for their lower line Sunclouds are darn near as good and somewhere around the $50 mark. Had a pair of Suncloud until I got in a tangle...
Praying for ya'll. No noteworthy damage around here.
Good to see the Driftless waters waking up! Always enjoy your photography!
Glad to hear you middle Tennessee boys are getting out on some trout water! That is a pretty stretch of river for sure! I have been trying to squeeze in some Clinch river fishing between odd TVA...
A size 16 is definitely small for ephoron leukon nymph. A "white" or cream colored nymph in a 16 would be more appropriate for a light cahill. White fly adults are best imitated on sz 12-10 dry fly...

Sharp looking wet fly!
White because it is the closest thing to translucent wings of the natural spinner. I use the little round feathers that are found on the inside shoulder of a Mallard wing (white to light gray). They...
I would be hard pressed not to like the New Orvis Battenkill III. Maybe you could locate an Older Ross Colorado 2. A light, durable USA made c&p reel that can usually be had for around 1 benjamin
Thanks guys! holed up and working night shifts! single digit temps coming during my off days next week...bummer! Got a new-to-me Sage XP 490 2pc rod coming and may not get to fish it for a while:(
Welcome aboard! Any and ALL questions flyfishing will be addressed on this site...Fire away!
First Rant of 2014:
What ever happened to the demand for 2pc rods of the "premium" sort? I know demand drives marketing, but I'm sure there are still a few of us around who prefer 2 to 4 pc rods...
