Anyone have any good tips on flies to bring to the lower keys? I am thinking bonefish and tarpon, but will also do some snook and jacks on the way down and back up. All suggestions would be great!
after re-reading this thread there was another builder who I thought would be nice to add.

My order is in with Mr. Oyster...
Find someone near you, it can be done, and get a rod made for YOU, not for anyone else.

Thanks, I don't mind the meager money they pay me. Any chance to help do my part. It beats sitting behind a silly computer all day.
Well...luck has finally struck! I was invited by my girlfriends family to go with them to Bonaire for a week in november and the only cost to me would be my plane ticket. So after doing some work and...

All my 'yak fishin is done is rivers or creeks. When I'm floating, I use a drag chain. I will use roughly a foot of 3/8 in chain and then attach it to thin cord. You can control the speed you are...
I just wanted to add something to this topic. Fishing from a kayak is not all easy and fun. It can be downright frustrating most of the time. Trying to slow the boat down, not drift into the bank,...

Down here in middle georgia we don't expect to see the bass begin to spawn until around late march, early april. I was once told they will run when the dogwoods bloom, and last year I have decided...
Ocean Kayak Capers and Drifters are both so stable that you can stand and cast from either. Depending on your body size and weight you can choose from either. I am 6'2" and 140 lbs and I fish from a...
