After July the hatches are about over here in Michigan.I tie wolly buggers, zonkers, Micky Fins. This time of the year I would go with terrestrials, those boys are killers this time of year.

I got one of these last year at the "Fly Tying Celebration" here in Grand Rapids Michigan and I love it. I took a day or so to get used to it. The darn ting is fantastic !!...:D

I have been tying gray ghost in size 6, sculpins in size 8 and woolly buggers this week.

I have known Rusty for years. He will be truly missed. He showed me how to fish for trout.I learned a lot about tying flies from Rusty. I will really miss the talks we used to have at the shop early...

I use " Hard as Nails ' on my streamer heads. It makes really shiny and smooth. Works good. The rest of my flies I use just plain head cement. As for super glue, I don't think I would try it....

I always add wings to my flies if the pattern calls for them.Any hook 20 or below I can't see on the water anyway.

for my money the best vise is a Renzetti 3000. I have used it for 30 years with no problems. I do have a Renzetti traveler I use on the road.
