I have seen her follow me around the pond a couple of times this year. Maybe she always does, and I just don't see her? When I've seen her, I can't get her to strike anything, but she will follow...
There's a 20-inch bass in a local public pond I occasionally fish that has a very distinguishing characteristic...a big split in its pectoral fin.
I've caught him while flyfishing 3 times this year,...
Nice Brookie, Joe!
Warren...I'm a bit jealous you can smoke a pipe while you fish. :) I do cigars when I fish, cuz the pipe is too heavy to hold with my teeth!

I like Warren's response. :D
Its difficult to make generalizations sound like absolutes, because there are so many different fishing situations and species-specific fish behaviors that need to be...
That's a great carp! I love how small they make the rod & reel look! :D

The seeming ideal hook size for bluegills flies is ~ #10. One size larger or smaller than that would be really good as well. I've caught 'em on much bigger, but at lower percentages. This general...
There are more folks trying flyfishing here in central Iowa. Just in the past week I've seen other folks flyfishing the local public ponds...and yesterday on my way home from work, I was driving up...
Cycler68, I have not tried either of those rivers. I didn't even know Iowa had a Rock River! :) I lived in northern Illinois for a time, and there is a Rock River there that definitely has a good...
