They seem a bit for the large hatches in particular areas and times.

I use a pin or wire or whatever pointy thing is laying around.
I clear out the eye with the tip of the next hook
...what patterns you have the materials for?! you mean you don't have everything yet? :)
wait til you discover the multi-color yarn skeins
great idea there
Great use for hen pheasant. They seem to be underrated.
Here's the link to the page.

I used widows web in white for the wing case and twisted brown flashabou for the shuck, and didn't bother to...
Shape of the light reminds me of the flappy things coming out of the monsters and alien crafts in the most recent War of the Worlds movie.
The pattern was on something like an 18 curved. Go small, but not "San Juan" small.
Nice light, but am I the only one getting a "War of the Worlds "vibe? :)
Got a chance to harass the trout of the Provo today. Made a few of some local pattern called the usurper midge-minus the ribbing. Yay! Day off!

I have a Response 6wt. It's really nice
I use the copper wire from lamp/electric cords that have broken. It might be a bit thicker than xs wire.
I don't put it on a bobbin.
Get good killer bugs from it and there is a lifetime supply.
I have bees wax on hand from other hobbies.
I cut it with olive oil and gently heat it.
Play with the ratio until it does what you want.
I've had the same little jar full for many years
Nice looking patterns.
Glad they caught something for you
The peacock is a new style to me
I like the live bait floats too
that's a nice one
Looks like fly number one will be a pmd. Here we go!
With work and such for the summer;
I'm gonna catch like four fish on......four flies.
I'll think about making four flies for this summer.
I'd prefer to have more; but it looks like four.
I like the line.
I can tell that its overweighted
I put the 4 on my 5wt and it makes a smooth and delicate presentation.
I'm not a fan of the colors though, but that's my thing only
I've had lots of luck with one of those camelbacks with the pockets. It has a narrow profile so it can be worn when casting or standing around.
14018 its an Adams!
Like it. And I thought I had enough patterns already.
Nice one.good luck with it
Nice one..
Just the helmet? I'd also bring the bat for protection from whatever the heck you haul in that is gonna take a bite of that.
Nice pattern.
