Thanks Warren.
Starting to install the ceiling now. You'll notice I changed the stain color, the first one was a bit too redish for me. I like the cabin/lodge/rustic look of this one now.

No idea what it's worth, but reels like that at the very least are very nice "decor" for the man cave so even if you don;t get it working use it for some nice vintage fly fishing decor :)

After spending about 8 hrs per day out in the yard the past three days I can finally say it's pretty much done for the summer now. Put up the new wood fence in both corners of the yard now with some...
Not much done, but now that I'm back from fishing I did work a bit on the lower part of the wall tonight.

Hit my cabin on the Au Sable over the past few days for steelhead. There were some fish in the river but warm weather and crowds made the steelhead bite tough. So we switched to trout in the upper...
Hit 80F here in Michigan today. Last week this time I was sitting at a Tigers baseball game in Comerica park while it was 31F and snowing. Gotta love Michigan:???:
It's a coat button from Joanne fabrics. They don't always have nice ones that will work on rods but I usually stop in once per month to see what they have and every once in awhile they will have...
Quickline is the name of the series that they are, the manufacture is Pacific Bay. I get all mine from Karen at Bingham Enterprises. IMO they are one of the nicest blanks out there, light, crisp tip...
This is a pair of matched rods for streamer fishing on the East coast. Blanks are Quickline series blanks which are really becoming one of my favorites due to being super light, very quick action...

Well got some major progress done today now. I'm dead tired from working on it all day long today. Probably won't get much more progress done now for a few days because I have about 4 rods to build...
Drain cover is now done. Added lower trim wood to it and a urethane finish to all the wood surfaces to give it a nice clear coat shine. The trout boarder came in earlier than expected so started...
Still have some trim work to do at the bottom but here is the rock/wood pillar I built to hide the drain pipe.
