All the best Deanna!
Of course! And not just simply "swinging"...but "jumping" an EHC against the current -which requires some practice- is absolutelly deadly when nothing works. I got strikes of big browns lying on the...
I have that #6 weight CTF.
Is not a powerful rod, I think a mid-plus action but I got to land a 10pounds brown in Patagonia with that weapon. Nothing bad.
Very good rod for the cost as many other...
Yes Steven, are two different bugs as I pointed.
My question was about the first one. It seems some pale mayfly, very different to the second one which is a Patagonian mayfly, 1,000 miles (South)...
Steven...thanks. And I don't know, I mean I am m not in Patagonia at this time (trout region) but near Buenos Aires. So I'm not fishing; the mayfly appeared at home. I also checked March Browns in...
Hey Dale, my question was about the bug, not with which fly to imitate it (an Adams seems to be perfect)
Were our ancestors!:D
Hey guys...I found this mayfly this afternoon at home. Do you have something similar up there? What do you think it is exactly? Scientific name? Can fit on a #14 or 16 hook:D
Thank you in advance....
I tried this one on #8wt...amazing! And the price for that quality (light and powerful) incredible....
Thank you guys!!:D
Excellent!! I agree, in my experience.
Thank you guys. Very interesting answers!

I purchased (time ago) India hen hackles from Cabela's. In brown and olive...great results just tying #14 nymph hooks with some peacock strands or rusty dubbing and the hackles. Wet fly style with...
Next November we start wetting our flies down here:D
If anyone dreamed sometime to know the Patagonian scenery and great trout fishing out of the high cost of lodges/guiding/transfer,...
Jumping out of the water?=caddis.
Just an EHK matching the size and color of the naturals. Walk the fly on the surface.
I know the situation and this worked OK.
I agree 100% on this.
...used 7X, 8X tippets?
Hey guys...any experience on that saltwater rod?
Thanks and good fishing:grin:
Best dry ever! I caught bonefish on EHK, low water flats in Belize. I am sure that in a 4/0 hook you can catch a sailfish or a mako.
Hook: #12 lazer sharp
Tail: Olive rooster feather fibers
Rib: Cooper wire
Body: Synthetic dubbing, olive
Wing: Mottled turkey, olive
Collar: India hen olive
