I can't wait!
Center cut is just fine with me.
Sounds good to me.
What are we going to use for the new deadline?
:D:D:D:cool:
Yahoo!!!!!
No problems here, but I'm bumping this thread back up. The waiting is killing me--in a good way. :D
Kaboom,
Do you have a general idea of what the ID of the blanks at the cut will be? Will a .160 ice rod blank be large enough to do the job, or does the ferrule need to be larger than that?
I'm missing 2 MO's, but everyone else has their money to me already and I'm about ready to ship.
The funny part is that I'm a genius and miscounted. The good news is that I have enough for everyone...
I just ran my latest numbers for my component set. Without shipping or supplies, here they are:
Grip/seat: $2.40
guide set: $4.29
tip top: $1.05
folding keeper: ...
Yahoo! I can't wait to get started on a couple of new ones. This will be a fun project!
I went ahead and sent everyone their totals. I'll be back on Sunday.
Grips arrived today. I'm leaving for a cub scout camp out, so I need everyone to give me their preference on shipping. I can get a flat rate box from the PO for free and mail it priority to you for...
I ordered an extra or 2, so remind me when they arrive and I'll try to get you a set.
The order has been placed for the seats/grips. I'll get final numbers when they arrive here. For the record, there were 17 grips/seats ordered.
PM sent.
I put the order off until tomorrow AM so I can get myself a bit organized first. I'll give everyone totals when they arrive.
Will do. I'm going to try to order these today, so if you want them, speak up soon. I'll go ahead and order without cash in hand, because I have no doubt that I can sell them for what I have...
Anyone interested in a group order for some seat/grip components? I have found some black aluminum A5-ish reel seats for $2, matching 7" inletted half wells grip for $2, or inletted full wells for $3...
I just did some checking, and it looks like I can get a solid glass ice fishing blank for about the same as a metal ferrule. Hmmm...I might try something new one of my 2.
If you choose a spigot ferrule approach, you'll use a scrap section of blank or ice rod blank to construct a ferrule. Look here: http://vintagerods.com/tips/spigot/spigot.htm
I'm probably going to...
I'm in. I'm going to go with 2 blanks right now, and I don't need component kits.
