I've read that felting needles work. They are tapered and bent on the end in a 90. Still trying to find them locally. Nothing at our small Hobby Lobby, but on their website. Walmart lists them...

Looks interesting. I've never done any, but I will give it a try. Count me in with a "Kreelex Tube Fly." I'll have to use bead chain eyes, in place of dumbbells.
