My favorite creek usually runs from maybe 2-5 foot on average. Very easy to fish with a wooly bugger or such. There are however some DEEP holes. How deep? I dunno, not goin in to find out. :D

I know when I was a young-un in Texas... you could not help but catch gar using a minnow below a bobber. Especially a deceased minnow... Gar magnet.
The problem I find with casting the bass bugs... is the thing that got me hooked to it in the first place.
I started "bass" fishing with my fly rod when I caught several 2-3 pound bass this...
That crappie is amazing. What fun it would be on a 2 wt!
To me this seems just like paying a guide to take you out and show you the spots... except without the guide. And a whole lot cheaper. :lol:

I have definitely had my share of the dogs. Watched people walk right by me at the creek... they get up to the next hole... and in goes the tennis ball and dog. Then they continue upsteam doing...

I got lucky... quick removal of clothes and then lots of soap and water. Everyone else said they couldn't smell anything, even though I could smell it for several days.

I generally fish upstream. If there is, say a log, across the water... or branches dipping down into the water so a drift would be next to impossible, I will generally go upstream from the obsticle...
