Jed;
From my experience, I would think the DT's have some animals and bugs associated with it. Now with the cold shakes I still function and do not fall down, but cannot get warm. As you can see my fingers are starting to work again, but for a few days it was cold here. Heck it took 3 days to figure out that we had heat in this house. Boy did it stink when we first turned it on. Lived here 10 years and it just does not get that cold here. You guys are nuts to live in a place where the water is hard for months at a time. I cannot see enough fun in the cold to keep my attention. Now snuggling by a fire does have some appeal as long as the other person is the wife.
Any way I was out in a tee shirt yesterday and I think by tonight I should be just about back to normal (ok as normal as I get)

Well it's suppose to get to 62 here in Des Moines today. I'm not sure where winter went, but I'm thinking of re-spooling line back on my reels.
Oh and this is number 525!

I would venture south for the fish-in, but I'm not sure which part I would play in your "pirate movie" and that worries me.
Harold, we don't stay outside ALL the time and snuggling by the fire is just better when it's cold out. I guess the cold is just part of the price one pays for living up north. Every place has a price to live there. Like the price for living in Florida is, well, living in Florida.
Guess I just got a reeeally special part in that movie.

Tup:
We need to know your height for the part in the movie, Cap was thinking of using you for the Mark Twain part of the ship. You will need no skill at all. Cap will hold his end and well you will need to control the wet end.

So, how do you pirates celebrate new years? on cable i note a twilight zone marathon on one channel and a three stooges marathon on another. what is a man to do?
-
Mr. Micus, watch the Stooges!
Mr. Hattaway, I stand six-foot-five, dripping wet. I'm glad I'll need no skill. Cap better hold his end; I'm kind of strong.
What, besides rum, are the other ingredients needed to make eggnog?
-
Hey, wait a minute, Harold! I'm not sure I like the way this is sounding. Not quite out of my league, but some things take me longer to fathom than others. Sheesh.

If you were here you could watch both, I have enought tvs that we can watch them both and the cooking channel at the same time, or maybe put in our favorite fly tying video. Mine is Lefty's.
Tomorrow will be graze day at the Hattaway's
Food there all day long and people coming in and out. No schedule just come and eat and watch the Auburn Game, and if Auburn is not on then the wife gets to use the remote.
TUP.
At that size we might have a problem, cap dude is not that big, and I do not know if he is strong enough to hold you, since we do not want to lose the line, I guess I will have to hold the line, cause I am bigger than you are. I top the scales at just under 400lbs. If you pull me in we both get wet. But I think I can handle it. So let me see add 6'5" to the length of the twain, I guess we could cut your height off the twain so the measurements will be the same.
Do not worry we will not give your part to anyone else. You have it sewed up. You will be the weight on the end of the twain. Just think you will be the most important part of the crew. Keeping us from running aground. And the Cap, if he gets into the rum, needs to be able to know just how deep the water is. ( he has run aground before) So have I but I am not allowed to steer the ship any more.

Friend you stay safe in this mess. I know I kid all of your northern pirates about the cold weather, but I also know you can die in that mess. Hunker down and think about fishing or snuggle with the wife. Just stay safe.
