Wow Tim, It looks like that crappie took that thing in all the way. The crappie must like that Color combo. Was that pic taken this spring or fall?
Nice! Flies always look better when you are taking them out of the mouth of a fish.
Larry, he showed me how it was done a few weeks ago no doubt.
Last night, Larry, those were the actual flies we tied Thursday night. If we can get the stupid lightning to go away I'm going to try to feed them a few more tomorrow :)
nice!!
Zac I had to give you a hard time after what I was told.
It's always been amazing to me that we get ANY flies tyed of a Thursday night! Between the stories <all true, I'm sure!! at least MINE are!> and the face offs, and the laughter ... it's something else! Last week all in attendance were FAOL'ers!!!
Betty, If you can't have fun doing it, than we need to find something else to do. How is the knee? Is that nasty bruise gone?Just remember that every step needs to be on solid ground. It is true I can remember something once in awhile. Now if I only knew where I placed that bobbin.
One of these days I'm gonna have to drive to Olathe, KS just to tie flies on Thursday night and chase 'gills on Friday. I'll have to wait until there is none of that bizarre, white stuff that falls outta the sky, there. I'll also have to watch out because I understand that one of Miss Betty's new potions calls for a "pinch of cally-pidlar". Hmmm Mapquest suggests about a 10-hour drive...
Have y'all gotten Miss Betty to show y'all the Parachute Patriot? It is one of the flies from Gates Lodge (originally from PA) that translated very well into TN waters for trout and 'gills.

How long is a broom flight to Olathe? Can you post a pic of the "Parachute Patriot"? I would like to see that fly. Try comiing to town this spring, the gills gone wild about that time of year.
