I ordered it about a year ago, and I remember it really not taking long... within 4 weeks for the book to arrive, then whenever the next issue came out (it's published, I think, every 2 months).
Not sure what the deal is now, but I'll have to say it's one of the best buys I've ever had relating to flyfishing (5 years and free book for $99). It's a great reference book, as well as my favorite FF magazine.
I ordered off of a TV ad that came on during one of the flyfishing shows. The Benchside Reference showed up about two weeks later. The book itself is without a doubt one of the best books written about fly tying. You see it in fly shops all over for $100.00+
I also enjoy the magazine a lot. I would highly recommend this.

I ordered mine on Monday, now i just have to be patient
it is still $99.99 for the book plus 5 year subscription.
Which magazine is it?
Frank Reid
Magazine is the Fly Fishing and Tying Journal,
I got the 5yr and Book deal and even converted to Canadian $$
( or Beaver pelts) it is good value.
Book came in a week or so and the Mag when issued.
Good magazine too, nice mix of destinations, techniques and Patterns.
Cheers

Where does one order this?
Order this about 3 weeks ago. The Book in about 8 days and the first issue of the magazine today.
Slowly making my way thru the book. To many times I have to stop to try what they are describing.
I have read the first 115 pages in two weeks. I usually read much faster than this.

Be patient, and you will enjoy it. Trust me

Then look for the TV specials - one is a 2 year sbscription with a free Okuma reel, the other is a 5 year sub with the free Benchside Reference.
Just a bit of info to put into the equation...I checked Amazon a week or two ago and the book now goes for $68 with free shipping.
I considered buying from Amazon too, but in the end decided that getting five years of the magazine for $32 was a good bargain.
"Numbers make figures lie and liars figure". Do the math any way you want, but it is a fantastic deal. You can say that you bought a five year subscription and got the book for free, or you can say you bought the book and got a five year subscription free. I like to say I got the book free since I enjoy paying for FTJ. It's, in my opinion, the best out there with the least amount of fluff. More practical ties, and less flies with materials that can only be found in some swamp in Upper Volta.
Just my two wheat pennies worth.
