Warming up in Iowa
I've been out flyfishing over a dozen times since the ice started melting off the local waters a couple weeks ago.
I've been catching Crappies & Bluegills mostly, and also Green Sunfish, Largemouth Bass, Rainbow Trout, and Channel Catfish. The variety is good!

Nice looking fish Dave, to bad our nice weather will be leaving for a few days now, looks like more one shot at winter is coming.

Looking good. I've gotten very few gills. No catfish.

I know what you mean, Rick. I've caught a fair number of bluegills so far, but they definitely aren't hitting very aggressively yet. I haven't had much luck stripping in a streamer. That's where the microjig/indicator rig helps immensely. With it, you can fish extremely slowly, and detect light bites. I've missed a bunch! :)
