I use palming scissors exclusively for a number of reasons. I'm left handed and the construction of the scissors is not relevent using a palming style. I find the palming style is much more comfortable to use and hold onto. The points are recessed enough to not get in the way when tying and wrapping matrial. It is important to use a pair that have fine tips. Fiskars make one that I use and find very efficient.
I've seen them in sewing dept in craft stores. Have one that I never use--I palm standard ice tying scissors.

Sacco,
I have apir that I've modified a la A.K. Best recommendations in his production tying book.
They work great, whenever I can remember to use them. I still have trouble holding them, and find myself putting them down and picking them up all the time.
However, if you can make yourself hold them, it really speeds things up.
Amazing how sharp those things are.
Good Luck!
Buddy
