BROOK TROUT - AU VIN BLANC
I was recently going through some old books that I inherited from my father, when I came across a small book entaitled, "Famous Sportsmen's Recipes," compiled by Jessie Marie DeBoth. The book by copyrighted in 1940 by the author but there is no indication that it was professionally published. I am assuming that it was self published by some 'vanity' press.

Jessie Marie DeBoth was a credited writer of cook books and chef back in the 1930's and 1940's.
My grandmother had one of Sessie DeBoths books, "Secrets of Successful Homemaking", is was a book for getting through the Depression, while still being able to put something on the table that would give a poor family something more than beans and weiners....
Key in "Jessie Marie DeBoth" on the world-wide-web, and you find lots of more amazing things about this women....
I am going to use this week Whats Cooking "Brook Trout" Au Vin Blanc this week, I have some suitable fish to replace the brook trout with.....
