A Custom Built Rod for Redfish

I am anticipating fishing for redfish off the Texas coast either late spring or early summer this year.
This may not come to pass, hopefully it will.

I'm exclusively a bamboo fly rod fisherman in freshwater. This would be my first foray into the salt.

I would like to contact and discuss with someone a graphite rod for this fishing. A custom rod to be built by them. Nothing fancy, just a good medium fast taper in the 8' to 8' 3" range for 7 to 8 weight lines. I say "nothing fancy" but I've been known to surpass that phrase!

Might want to post in the Rod Building forum at the bottom of the forum index. There are a lot of good builders that frequently post there.
