Steve Clark! http://www.midwestcustomflyrods.com/ He does great work at a reasonable price. Plus he's a member here and he's located in your neighborhood.
I use two rods for Michigan salmon.
1. 10' 6", 9 weight bamboo switch rod.
2. 9',9 weight Extreme Super Hollow bamboo single handed rod.
At one time a long time ago I used a 9', 9 weight Loomis IMX and a 9', 9 weight Loomis GL4.
Let me know if you have any interest in bamboo.
Jerry
My salmon rod is a Loomis GLX Native Run 10' 8 weight. It's a great stick and can throw huge mends with a Steelhead line and that extra foot. Only a few times have I wished I had a 9 wt. when I couldn't turn a really big fresh run Salmon out of a fast run.
I know Steve at Midwest and agree he could hook you up. If you are specifically targeting Salmon get at least a 9 wt if your fish go beyond the high 20's.
