Just a note about the location of the Croton Dam....it's on the Muskegon River just east of Newaygo MI not on the Pere Marquette River which is the longest river in Michigan without any dams.
What? Montana State University in Bozeman is not on the list. Plus Bridger Bowl for winter skiing. Yellowstone Park, Henry's Fork, Paradise Valley all less than 4 hours away by car. i'd take Bozeman over the 5 they listed.

I have to agree with Western Carolina U fishing on the Tuckasegee River since it's right in my area
Interesting that Penn State didn't make the list. George Harvey (and later Joe Humphreys) taught a legit fly fishing class to thousands of students.
Good picks for trout, but for species diversity a little limited. Might consider locations that offer salt and warm water opportunities.
