TFO TiCr
Maybe some of you remember me asking about the TiCr vs the TiCr-X. I went to the fly shop and was able to cast them. I bought the TiCr and fished with it today for the first time. Man, when you get about 35-40 feet of line out this baby really rocks. I'm not very good at shooting line, sometimes I hit it just right and sometimes I don't. Today I was trying to cast to a pretty far spot across the river and did a double haul perfectly. The line shot out so hard it snactched the rod out of my hand and flung it some 120 feet across the river and landed on the bank. I had to swim the river to get my rod back. Finally to solve the problem I tied my rod to my belt with piece of rope. BAAADDDD idea. The next time I did a good shoot It pulled my whole body up out of the river and I landed 40 feet forward into some fast water.
For anyone buying this rod, I would highly suggest putting some ankle weights on to keep you grounded on some of those good cast. http://www.flyanglersonline.com/bb/smile.gif
I hope to buy the TiCr-X someday, but not before I buy a parachute.

ZERO

This is the first time I saw it...and I started laughing almost immediately...are you OK?....no bruises, etc.

I had the same thing happen to me recently, but my rod just kept going, it was actually snatched away by a Pteradactile that grabbed my fly. The fly was a baitfish imitation, and I guess the damned thing looked too good to leave alone!! I jumped in my X-wing to try and catch it, but the reptile was just to tricky and fast for me!! Oh well, now I look overhead before each cast to avoid this happening again.

Sounds like my jargospecial fly. Last time I pulled one out of my flybox, three fish came to the surface and started waving a white flag!

Wow, I can't believe how fast that rod is!!
Now you're sure it was the TiCr and not the TiCr-X?? Because, I mean, imagine if you had bought the TiCr-X, you may not be around today to tell about it.

i have an 8 wt ticr . a great way to cross the river is to cast a little high an it will lift you across the river w/o getting your feet wet

You know what's even better than the TiCr-X...
Chuck Norris.
