This young man puts me to shame. All of my troubles are trivial compared to his. I wish I had half of the courage he has.

I salute you and my thoughts and prayers are with you. You may not realize this but you are already a champion of the highest caliber! I wish you all the good fortune in the world in your efforts to medal in your sport. Medals or not I am one fellow American that is very proud of you and you are a hero, an inspiration, to me.
