Old Timers Remember?
Sheties has a great test for the more mature of us on this weeks Lighter Side. I don't want to steal her thunder, but she has made me think of several old advertisements. Who can remember Burma-Shave signs and how they worked. Who remembers "You'll wonder where the yellow went, when you brush your teeth with ___________? Who remembers who was the leader of the fight for "Truth, Justice & The American Way?" Who was the singer of "The Name Game?"
My memory spins. Thanks SheTies.

How bout "LSMFT"? " "Blank, the beer that made Milwaukee famous"? " "From the land of sky blue waters"? "Blank tastes good like a cigarette should"? " and tomorrow your hair will be sunshine brite"?
JUst a few and then I started feeling old so I quit.

Betty,
But watch out, the gals will all pursue ya.
They love to get their fingers in your hair.
Marco,
Winston tastes good like a cigarette should. From the land of sky blue waters, Hamm's the beer refreshing, Hamm's. LSMFT=Lucky Strike means fine tobacco. I can't remember which beer made Milwaukee famous. I'd guess Miller High Life.
These are great.

Anyone remember Glading Tippet material. Back in the 60's it was the best you could get. I still have a few spools of it and you would not believe the Dia. compared to the same size today. LOL
How about Wonder rods. And when I say that I always remember Gad about Gaddis. (Spelling?)
Sky King, Red Rider and Little Beaver lots more out there. Ron

I think the beer that made Milwaukee famous was Pabst Blue Ribbon. Sponsor of Friday Nights at the Fights on radio circa 1950.
P.S. I got all of them right. Had to think a little on "the day the music die"
