Cabelas has about 30 stores I believe. Don't you think there a good chance one of them has one or two of these they would be happy to let you have. See if customer service on the phone or at a store can check the inventory nationwide.
If you get really stuck... I've got a spare cabelas 9' 5 wt 7pc stowaway blank with tube. I could build it into a custom rod for you in time.
Jesse, tried that route, no joy. Even the blanks and kits are gone in that size. Maybe that should tell them something.

That's what I love about these forums on FAOL....so many are willing to help a fellow fisherman out. Great that "cheffy" located that rod and hope it works out.
