Fly the Flag on Monday
Monday is the 5th Anniversary of 9/11. We've received several emails suggesting everyone fly the American flag on Monday. It certainly would be a nice gesture in honor of those who died in that tragedy. We fly our American flag here at home every day, plus the two on the front page, which went up on 9/11 five years ago. Let us not forget.

Ladyfisher,
I agree and thank you. We also fly our flag every day.

I also fly my flag everyday. Too many people have forgotten.

Mine also is up everyday. The last few years just about all the flags in the county were flown at half staff on 9/11. Coos Bay has a board walk along the bay that flies flags from about twenty different countries. On Memorial Day, the 4th of July, and 9/11 the only flags that fly from those poles are the flags of the U.S.A.

I joint the many that are proud to fly our flag every single day! I strongly detest those that would abuse the flag and what it represents, but they have their rights as well according to the ways the laws are written.
Our house without the flag would be like the sky without the sun, or a river with no fish, it would be such a shame...

Our little village of Manchester has 54 flags flying today on both side of the street. Our American Legion buys the flags and displays them on all appropriate holidays and occasions. If you open the link below you will see a 4x6 American Flag with the names of the over 2,000 men and women who parrished in the trade center, Pentagon and the Planes that crashed. Their names are on the red and white stripes. It is always on display in our legion hall to remind us of the tragady least we never forget.

We fly a lighted 5x6 lighted flag on a 25 foot pole on our farm here, 365-24-7. The flag is located on a mound with open access to the northern storms that ply though here in Winter. I usually go through 5 to 6 flags a year. We provide to the community at our cost a 4x6 nylon flag with sewn on stars and stripes for $25.00 a 3x5 which is a common size is only $19.00 to the public. Oh by the way, these flags are made in America.
