I'm Just About Ready to Go For It!

I love reading all the posts about tenkara fishing. It reminds me of the times I used a carbon fiber whip type pole for fishing for crappies and bluegills. I used a float that balanced with less than a gram of tiny split shot on the line. If a fish so much as breathed on the bait the float would show it. It was a killer way to fish for panfish. The only thing about it that I didn't like was that I hooked way, way to many fish in the throat and, as I was fishing catch and release, that wouldn't do.
With tenkara fishing here is another opportunity to enjoy beautiful, elegant and utterly simple fishing.
I need to order an outfit so I can be ready for the spring thaw!

You got that right. And after you fish Tenkara, you will add "intuitive" and probably several more adjectives to describe your experience.

You are in for a real treat. You'll be on the water before your know it.

The more I read about this style of fly fishing the more I look forward to receiving my Tenkara fly rod :)
