Milt,
Here's some info on Spotted Bear CG:

I've only driven the west side of Hungry Horse Res, never driven the East Side road so I can't give you any info on the ride, but you'll have about 55 miles of gravel; make sure you have a full tank of gas and a good jack (since you're from B.C., you already know about being in bear country). Miles and miles of wade access to the river. Have fun, catch a bunch.

Scott
Thanks a lot Scott. You have been most helpful.
Milt,
Checked the latest snowpack data and the Flathead Basin is at 115%
ftp://ftp.wcc.nrcs.usda.gov/data/wat...mal_update.pdf
Driving up to Whitefish from Missoula yesterday and there was a good bit of snow on the Missions and Swans (I'm guessing it's similar on the back side). Although you've got about 6 weeks for that stuff to work it's way down the mountains, keep an eye on the weather to see how runoff goes. I'd also suggest contacting the guys at Lakestream flyshop http://www.lakestream.com/ They'll give you the latest on stream conditions.

Scott
