I had a calender sent to my house recently and this artwork was in it. There is a lot being said here. What do you think?

looks like me and my buddy 60 years from now, of course i'm the one on the left. and unlike the pic i would have a fly rod in my hand. :D
It's the same old story. The guy on the right fell in to the river while landing the monster trout that he's got stuffed in his creel.
Looks like an ad for a worm farm to me

Dear mtb4jc,
If dry fly fishermen would only learn to fish nymphs and streamers they wouldn't have to go home sulking so often.
Best Wishes,
Avalon :D
The fly fisherman was practising catch and release!
In the old days, keeping your catch was an important part of fishing. It was important to show that you had evidence and you weren't lying.
The guy on the right could have some fish in his creel. I think the picture is advocating BAIT fishing.
Was there a prejudice toward flyfishers back then?
Doug
Note the lack of line on the fly reel. The fly fisherman has been "spooled" by a BIG fish. He has a creel full of smaller fish, but Ol' Henry got away, again.
Hey there Gary, Very thought provoking post. I know it's too early to post the punchline, but, was there a caption here that you WILL divulge sometime in the near/far off future? As many "Rockwells" as I have seen, I can't recall if ANY were captioned. Seems like his "stuff" kinda speaks for itself as does this one but my hearing is getting MUCH worse.
Mark
PS: After further review, All his works were captioned.
Darwins theory. The big guy made the little guy carry his fish. Later.
