Jeff. I'll go with something. TBD. Let me get through Christmas and I'll post my fly. Actually there is a big difference between a Gurgle Pop and a Gartside Gurgler, so if no one is tying a Gurgle Pop I'll do that one. I'll lurk as you answer. JGW

Hey Rotund Youth *G*
I'll be tying some of my "Jellybeans".
They are topwater foam minnow imitations
with arctic fox tailing. Probably in a
number 8. Warm regards, Jim

This sounds like fun. If I'm in I'll go with predators.
Jim

who's the last lucky winner?
-
I think I am gonna try some wasps like we been talking about in the fly tying forum. Then I'll be 'forced' to get some tied up while they are fresh in my mind.
Don

I'll take the final spot.

Thanks Husky Dude,
I needed an excuse to get into the
tying mode. Been pretty hectic around the
homestead for the last few months and a
few evenings of tying is what the doctor
ordered. Great bunch of folks signed
up too. I'm getting excited already.*G*
Warm regards, Jim

I'll tie some kind of a beetle, since I'm new at it. Thanks.

The Crease Fly isn't working out as I had planned. I'll be changing my entry to a.....beats me. I'll give it some thought this weekend. Possibly the ET from the Fall 2004 issue of Flyfishing & Tying Journal.
Hope no one's bummed out by this but, believe me when I tell you, it is for the best.
Have a Happy New Year everyone!

Hi Jeff,
My double foam humpies are going in the mail today. They came out excellent! It is a very labor and material intensive fly, but it is very satisfying to tie them. I hope the fishies like them as much as I do.

OK, folks. Looks like I'm behind the curve again. Almost gave up my spot to 'check your fly' due to problems and mucho extra hours at work. But,...I will not be denied. I will be tying a modified version of the Gary LaFontaine Foam Beetle.

I regret to say that I'll be unable to fulfill my commitment to this swap and sadly have to withdraw from it.
I hope this doesn't cause too much inconvenience for any participants or the host.

If you dont mind can i take mikeytwoshoes place. I can tie a chernobyl hopper.
-
BASS Angler, I would say check with the Host
first, and if you can make the due date. I would think it would be O K.
Doug
-
I know i just posted that i wanted to join in mickeytwoshoes place but i just got word my grandmother is in the hospital and it doesnt good. I regret missing out on the swap i guess ill have to catch the next.
-
Hey Phatkid,
If you like, just keep my extra fly and
go with one less person. My thoughts. I
know Mikey is a great tyer and a very
dependable one as well. He would not have
bailed if he didn't have to. I look forward
to other swaps with him. Warm regards, Jim
-
I'd have to agree with Mr. Hatch. Keep the extra set for your trouble, and scoot the rest out. I too am bummed mikey dropped out but I agree it wouldn't have been done without a valid reason.
Whatever you decide is fine. I just wanted to toss in my two Wheat Pennies worth.
