AU Sable Memorial weekend

Just returned home last night from a few days on the Au Sable. Even though it's going on 4 decades that I have been fishing it's waters I still feel like a little kid every time I step into it's current and let the river rush around me. The weather/rains came through during the weekend dumping a bunch of rain during the day but the sky cleared just as quickly as it started and made for a few hours of some nice time on the river Sunday night. Had a section of river all to myself which is how I like it. Missed one "good" trout, landed a few chunky ones and enjoyed some early evening streamer as well as right before dark dry fly action.
