I got one from Mark Fitch on e-bay for a good price, and it is very nice. He uses mostly Paul Young tapers. There are lots of good makers on www.rodbuildingforum.com
I have acquired one Mark Fitch blank (PHY Martha Marie taper) one Mark Fitch completed rod (PHY Perfection taper) and a rod finished by someone else on a Fitch proprietary taper, Purist? I believe is the name he used, and every one is a great rod. The rod builder goes by the ebay name of fitchm57 and often has blanks for sale.
This is one under rated and almost unknown blank maker. I have seen his rods for sale by other rod builders, Ron Barch had one at a fly fishing show in Ontario a couple of years ago.
There are a number of great builders out there, check this site.........

........spend some time there and ask all of the questions you want, you may even find a local builder with a great reputation!
Mike Brooks and Chris Carlin (Far North Rodsmiths) last time I checked sell ferrule'd blanks, and for a excellent price.

Try Dennis Stone. Very good builder at good prices! He also does hollow building.
I really like Elkhorn...great quaility and prices.
Will second the Elkhorn! They're sponsors here, in addition. Built, and love, the bamboo blank.
As previously posted.........Chris Carlin.
