Personally, I LOVE St Croix SCIII (Avid) blanks/rods. You can't go wrong with one, IMO.

My wife uses a Sage 389 LL, it's soft action is very forgiving and easy for an inexperianced caster to use.

Wayne, youe from Belle Vista? thats up buy Beaver? and close to Bullshoals? you lucky man. Anyway their is a rod building shop in mountain home so you can go check stuff out if you need. let me find the website for it

no I found the name its schnieders http://www.schneidersrods.com/ I tried finding it the one time I was up that way fishing but I couldnt I forgot the number so I couldnt call them for directions, Anyway going over there would give you a reasong to fish the white

I like Cabela's 'Stowaway' rod in the 5pc 5wt, feels great in the hand. On sale you can get a blank for under $40!
