POLAR HEX
Hex patterns are very popular here in Michigan because of our infamous ?Michigan Caddis Hatch? (hexagenia limbata). There are about two dozen or so patterns that stand out about the rest in popularity. I bring you one of those patterns today.

The Polar Hex reminds me of the....
The Polar Hex reminds me of the only fly mentioned in the movie "A River Runs Thorough It", the Bunyan Bug. That was my first thought, when I first read the this weeks, "Fly of the Week". I am thinking that I can use the Polar Hex as a easier pattern to dress, to replacement for the Bunyan Bug, for fishing....
