Andre Puyan's Loop Wing Style

Andre Puyan was a great tier and fly innovator. It is not well known that he played a significant role in the creation of the Goddard Caddis.

I was reading the book "Founding Flies" by Mike Valla this morning and, in particular, the chapter on Puyan.

I thought I would tie one of his Loop Wing flies. Hope I have done justice to his style of fly.

Tail is ginger hackle barbs
Body is moose mane
Wings are mallard flank tied in loop wing style
Front hackle is, again, ginger hackle
Tied on a size 14 TMC #100 hook

It is just a generic version of Puyan's loop wing style of fly.
