A friend of mine just gave me a rod he would like repaired. Told him I would do it without seeing the rod. Turns out it was his great grandads. It is wood not bamboo and is shaped like a bamboo rod. No guides left and the tip is craked very badly. The glue is gone on the ferrules but they are still tight. Lots of work but oh what fun it will be. I will post pics later of the start and as I progress. He should have a good rod when I am done.
