thingamabobber question
took the plunge and purchased thingamabobber when country boy went to town yesterday. these have a new feature, jam stopper, that i don't really care for. it can be removed of course, but is it needed to prevent the bobber from sliding on the line if you loop the line thru the hole. it is just a peg to plug the hole with but i would prefer to remove it if not needed????

I have seen but not used the new ones with the jam stopper. I doubt you need it if you loop your line through the bobber eyelet. This can kink your tippet/leader. I'm guessing you can thread the line once through the Thingamabobber eyelet, then use the peg to keep it from sliding up and down the line?

I cut the stop off, loop line through and pull tight. I love them.

I've used both styles when trout fishing and prefer the ones with the stopper. I do not use them when fishing war water.
