I just bought a new blank to build. It is a 6'6" 2 wt 4 piece graphite in a tiger eye color. The manufacturer is Sevier. I checked out their website and like the prices and components they have. Has anyone else used this brand?

You will enjoy, that purchase. Nice blank - It will become a very nice rod.
... on a Sevier Tiger Eye blank designated 2/3 two years ago and really liked it.
It cast well with a DT3F line but really really came to life with a WF4F line.
You might find yourself fishing a 3 wt, which is not a bad thing.

I build a lot of Tiger Eye's. For the money, they are a great deal for lower weight rods. There are other options I like for heavier rods, but up to 5wt's they are hard to beat. I usually buy the blanks from Schnieders Rod Shop because I like their component selection better.
It's a great little blank you will be very happy with it. I've built literally hundreds of rods on the Tiger eye blanks and never found one I didn't like. I'm actually working on two builds on that exact blank right now (6'6" 2wt).
John are you sure your not maybe thinking of the 6' 2/3wt 2pc Tiger eye that liked the heavier line better? Because the 6' 2/3wt 2pc does for sure like a 4wt line best, but the newer model 6'6" 2wt 4pc I found to be a very true 2wt.

I built a 4pc 5wt Tiger Eye I bought from Schnieder's. A very nice blank for the money (or lack thereof) and the Tiger Eye's are just beautiful in the sunlight.
Look you guys, I can't afford another hobby! All this talk about Tiger Eye this and Tiger Eye that! Stop it - Stop it right now! You're killing me, I tell ya. Man O' man show some mercy already!!!! Having said all that, those sure are Nice though! Hmmmm - Nope, Nope - can't /won't/shouldn't go there!!!
Best regards, Dave S.
Hey, Dave! Those Tiger Eye blanks do make a really nice rod. A whole bunch of bang for the buck. They make an excellent blank to build your first rod on because if you mess things up, you are not out that much. On top of that, they are really rich looking and cast nicely. Even I can cast one of those.
