Nick in graphite.
Well I just got a gl3 from a collector for the new east fork I had for sale, even swap besides me paying shipping Both ways. When I took it out to inspect I found a small nick a inch above the top first guide, and mind you this was one claiming mint like new condition which I would call blemish free.Well I mixed a small batch of part A-B epoxy and with needle filled in the spot. Now for the question,do you feel it still may break.Could I apply a coat from the first guide to the tip and the extra thickness strengthen that part?

I would say that there's at least a higher probablity of it breaking than if there was no nick. How much higher is hard to say, especially without seeing the nick. How deep? Across the rod or along it? (Assuming it's not round.)
I suppose you could try wrapping it with thread, and finishing it with epoxy.

Depends how deep the nick is, if it goes into the fibers themselves then there is not much you can do. most likely will snap someday.

For comparison its about the size of the plus sign beside the Google eyes to your right! How's that for a comparison!Depth is enough I can feel it withmy fingernail as it goes in.I cannot see fibers.I did make a Dupont eopxy mix and filled it in .I can finish the tip section from the first guide to tip like the wraps are clear coated and I don'care if that section is glossy or not.

If its nicked its more than likely fractured and more than likely will break.
