Micro jig sources

I was wondering if any of you knew a source for micro jigs, other then cabelas, or bass pro shop.

Looking for 1/80 and smaller, would like to buy a hundred at a time.

Not sure about the sizes

You can wind lead wire into a ball at the front end of hook--which might even be
a jig hook. And then soak it with CA glue. At that point you can call it done
or squeeze it slightly with smooth jaw needle nose pliers (if you want to
give it a bit of a flat sculpin shape, for instance).

That way you can make custom jigs as big or as small as you want,
on any hook you choose.

For ready made stuff places like Hagens, Lurecraft, Netcraft, Barlows Tackle
and Stamina are good sources. Hagens has a ton of stuff in their PDF
catalog that does not appear on the website. They're wholesale mostly.
But anybody can buy.

Give the guy at pbugsjigs.com a holler. He seems to be a pretty good guy, and might have them.

Netcraft and Barlows should have them as well.

Just out of curiosity, why not Cabela's or Bass Pro?

I would just get the hook size I wanted, then put either a bead-head, or conehead weight near the hook eye, then tie my body on. That should be close to 1/80th oz. I tie some unweighted bass and striper flies that weigh more than that by themselves.

I would put a largeish black tungsten bead-head on the shank and anchor it with black thread near the hook eye. Then wrap the thread back towards the hook bend, stopping right over the barb. Tie on a few short lengths of wire weight to the top of the shank, so it will ride hook-point-up. Now, just tie on a bit of your favorite color of marabou (or similar material), about the length of the hook shank. Next, anchor your favorite color of small chennille (I am partial to chartruese), and wind the thread back to the bead-head. Now, just wrap the chennille forward, tie off and whip finish, and you have a perfectly good micro jig, that can be cast with an ultralite spinning rod (I do these all the time). They also make great ice-jigs.

Another alternative would be to use dumbell 'eye's'. You could either paint eyes on the head, or use small stick-on eyes. I didn't have any small enough for the example below, but I use them without eyes all the time, and they work great. In the example, I only had a gold-colored bead-head, so I just coated it with Sally Hansen's Hard-As-Nails Black, and it works just fine.

Here is an example, tied on a # 14 Nympth Hook: You could also dub the body for a fuzzier appearance, add legs, or whatever. This casts just fine on my Zebco Microcast rod and reel.

Any shop that can order from Wapsi can get you 1/80th or 1/124th in hundred packs.

Gotta go with Q_kid - go over to Crappie.com jig tying/making section and check out Pbug, CrazyAngler Tackle, Grousefly, TNT jigs they're all good and good prices. You tell them what size hook you want and they'll use it to make them.
