A Gripe (sorry)
Lately I have seen quite a few posts from people with a link to their own website at the bottom, which is ok, but there have been a few that have been "for profit" websites, don't you think it would be easier to become a "sponser"? I know it's kind of goofy, but I feel this is really taking advantage of the kindness of the administrators who need sponsers to keep this website up. I for one will not purchase anything from these freeloaders who are advertising on this site for free.
Sorry just needed to get that off my chest, don't know why it bothers me so much, but it does.

Drew;
I agree! But it may take our efforts as members to bring them into the fold.

I too would avoid them at all costs. Actually I'm surprised JC lets it slide. Just shows what a soft feller he is under that ....................

Guys, some other websites allow 'Hot-links' to 'other' websites,,, most do not, basically, for the obvious commercial reasons. I allow them because so many of you have services you offer/provide that are of benefit or use or at least, interest to each other. And most of these guys are way below the sponsor level.
Yes, I see the abuse by a few but I don't want to infringe on the whole bunch just to keep a few off. It also is not fair to our 'paying' sponsors (supporters). So far, they have not leaned on me,,,
I hope some of the guys with the 'hot-links' actually grow and get so big they become sponsors. That leaves the enigma. Boycott them, being fair to our paying sponsors??? or deal with them so they grow into... sponsors? One did just that, grew into a sponsor. Then,,, because business got SO GOOD, he quit being a sponsor,,, but keeps the hot link anyhow.
