Got these blanks from a gracious member on the boards here!!! My first builds...The first one is a lamiglas spinning blank 6ft MH 2pc....I'm starting on the 2nd which is a lamiglas perigee 8/9 9ft. 3pc..I've turned the cork for it and am starting to put the guides on...

update on the fly rod.......
Some imperfections, but I'm happy overall....
I forgot to trim some small tag ends hanging out after the first coat...oh well....the next one will be better...

Those wraps are beautiful - what did you do them with? But how come they look reddish in one picture and bluish in another?
probably because of the camera...
the wraps are actually dark brown
finish turned out a little better on this one..
