WTB: 9' 9wt 4pc
I have had offers to go down to FL to fish for some redfish, although not in the immediate future. I figure I need a 9wt and this might help me get out in the fall for our steelhead run. I'd imagine it would have to be on the faster side but not too much. The reality is that I'm kinda broke right now but do have some gear I can move. I am posting to see what is out there, if you are not in a hurry and I am interested, I will be able to buy it in a couple of weeks. I am just feeling out the board to see what might be available.

For Redfish in FLA a 9 wt will be overkill. I use 6-8 wt much more just my saying.

well I have heard that as well but not according to the invitee. Judging by the pictures he sends back of the fish he lands from his kayak, and his experience on his home waters I would have to agree with him.

Janus,
I'm not sellin' mine 'cuz I love it, but the Echo 9' 4pc 9wt Ion is one heckuva rod & retails for $189.00+ some cents. I think it's the best bang for the buck out there, so watch for one.

Mike nice to hear from you been some time. I had an echo classic 8wt a couple years back and sold it and have had sellers regret since. I have nothing above a 4wt now because of the fish I catch and where I fish here in NE ohio really didn't warrant anything bigger I became really disinterested in the steelhead runs, mostly because of the crowds and the inability to withstand the weather..but that is why I got the echo in the first place..the pull of getting down there this fall comes and goes in cycles for me really. I am going to look into these new echo's.
