I read that the late Lefty Kreh suggested to use a small swivel to reduce line twist when fishing a streamer. Any suggestions as to where to place the swivel on the leader relative to the streamer?

I think I remember reading that it was about 8 inches in front of the streamer. Short line between swivel and fly.
Not sure if you should trust my memory.

I have been fishing micro-swivels with all of my nymph and streamer leaders for 4-5 years now. Would not switch. I use 4-5' tippet for nymphs, and about 2' for streamers.
do you locate the swivel on the eye of the streamer?
I would be inclined to put it between my leader and tippet to not detract from the fly's appearance or action. A couple of feet of twisted tippet shouldn't be a big deal.
