His longest to date brook trout...was a male.
He had fished the entire strech of water this morning.
It was 86 degrees by 9am so he called it a day.
On the way back to the truck he looked off the road to a spring coming out from under the road.
The spring was alive with brook trout.
He skittered down the bank.
His first cast in the spring landed him his monster.
A closer examinations revealed the biggest brook trout he had ever caught was loaded with GILL LICE.
He revived it as best he could and sent it on its way.
If you don't know about gill lice you need to research it.
