Everything is staring to bite!

Been down to the local pond with a friend. In about an hour or 2, we each had 50 bluegill and about 3 bass, including a nice 6 pound lunker. Went down to the river, and caught 10 carp in 2 hours. I have been tracking the number and location of shad in the conneticut river(email me for the website) to see if I can hook into some at my river. To be honest, I have only been fishing since late last summer so I have never fished in the spring time. The fish must be very hungry after a long winter. I know I was itching to fish after such a long winter. How is everyone else doing?

It is exciting indeed! I'm glad to stop shuffling my gear around and actually get out and fish. Here's my fare from a few days ago!

I fish for trout the whole winter. I assume that would be "in season" since they are stocked in teh beginning of winter and die in the summer.
