Bob,
Mice can be as simple or fancy as you like. I simply use a "fur" tail or feather and 3-4 bunches of spun deer hair.

Usually use a #6 bomber hook. I cut the "face" a bit square because I like to fish it almost like a popper.

or try it with an elastic band tail
I have tied them with square faces and diving faces and have had better luck with the diving faces but its just preference. I fish the diver like a popper too with short stripps and long pauses to let the fly catch and drag down air bubbles.
Thanks. I like the simple nature of this pattern. I will tye a few for my son. I have some size 4 bass popper hooks with a large hook bend. I will use those.
Anyone else have a pattern they have found on the web??

I have tied the above but not as fancy. I didnt use ears or eyes. I have had good succes but a frog seems to work better. Also i used a monofilament weed guard. A weed guard is a necessity for the water i fish.

Would work grand around here.....especially after we inverted the hook to ride IN the "wild" hair.....with the weed guard. http://www.flyanglersonline.com/bb/smile.gif http://www.flyanglersonline.com/bb/smile.gif [url=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v315/leesoares/CIMG0515.jpg:0ec18]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v315/leesoares/CIMG0515.jpg[/url:0ec18]
